RRF has 11,000 Arbequina Olive Trees, a Spanish variety hardy enough for the Northwest, planted over 15 acres. Olives from the Arbequina tree produce a delicious extra-virgin olive oil. It is best known for its fresh, fruity flavor and peppery finish. It is perfect for dipping, dressings, or marinades.
Under the name of the Oregon Olive Mill, Red Ridge mills and bottles this olive oil. It is used as a finishing oil in some of the finest Northwest restaurants and available at specialty grocers in the Portland and Yamhill area. You can purchase your own olive oil at our garden store. Oregon's first olive processing plant, The Oregon Olive Mill has been built onsite at Red Ridge Farms. This facility is the first of it’s kind in Oregon – pressing local olives from Red Ridge, and allowing others to bring in their olives for pressing, a true co-op.
