RRF has 3500 Arbequina Olive Trees planted, with an
expansion of 5000 more in the Spring of 2008, a Spanish variety hardy enough for the Northwest. In anticipation of future harvests and olive oil production, Red Ridge Farms had an award-winning Arbequina Olive Oil producer bottle this exotic product under our house label. This delicious extra-virgin olive oil is best known for its fresh, fruity flavor and peppery finish. It is perfect for dipping, dressings, or marinades. It is used as a finishing oil in some of the finest Northwest restaurants and available at specialty grocers in the Portland and Yamhill area. You can purchase your own olive oil at our garden store. Coming in the Summer of 2008 will be Oregon's first olive processing plant, The Olive Mill. Built onsite at Red Ridge Farms, this facility will be the first of it's kind in Oregon - pressing local olives from the Farm, plus allowing others to bring in their olives for pressing, a true co-op.
