Owners Penny and Ken Durant invite you to share an hour, a day or a weekend of peaceful respite on a working farm where they raise sheep, wine grapes and Arbequina olives they will someday press to make Oregon’s first olive oil. A love of the land and a belief in stewardship provide the Durants with the vision for their bucolic escape from the city. Visitors are encouraged to set their own pace, rejuvenate and return again and again to this rural haven and all it has to offer.

Think of Red Ridge Farm as a source for your garden needs. The nursery’s greenhouse and gardens offer selections from over 300 varieties of specialty plants and herbs that flourish in the Pacific Northwest. Most of these plants are grown locally, in the rich Jory soil of the Red Hills, and kept healthy with organic, sustainable farming methods. Take reasonably priced plants home to finish your latest garden project, or leave with an artfully arranged container garden from the greenhouse atrium. More than 30 years familiarity with the region’s growing conditions and the plant species that thrive here mean the knowledgeable staff has a wealth of tips and tricks to share.
Learn from local artisans and chefs. Classes at Red Ridge Farm focus on topics including how to use herbs in cooking and crafts, container gardening and herb preservation. The garden shop and surrounding grounds are expertly stocked with an eclectic blend of treasures for home and garden: beautifully handcrafted gifts and food items, garden tools and resources, pottery, statuary and sculptures.
Come to celebrate and relax
Host a special event on the back patio, surrounded by lovingly tended open spaces perfumed with the scent of flowers and lavender, heavy with bees. A tented patio is the perfect location for business and personal gatherings: luncheons, classes, staff retreats and meetings, anniversary celebrations, dinner parties, weddings and receptions. Amenities for groups of up to 50 people are provided, including tables, chairs, linens and a full kitchen for catering. The covered patio is available between April and November and is equipped with a heater, lights and, of course, sweeping valley views.
